From idea to custom design

Custom sportswear manufacturing usually starts with email exchanges, preparing graphic materials, and waiting for the first draft. For ELEVEN sportswear, we transformed this process into a simple web application where customers can create their own design in just a few minutes.

The goal was to make the production of original socks accessible even to people without graphic design experience. All they need to do is describe their idea in their own words or upload a photo or logo.

AI designer with instant preview

Generative AI creates a graphic motif from the text prompt and displays it directly on a specific sock model. This way, the customer does not just see a standalone image, but gets a better idea of the final product.

The design can be further adjusted using simple instructions, switching between generated versions, and selecting the sock color, sizes, and number of pairs. The entire process works without registration, and unfinished designs remain saved in the browser.

Integration with production and e-shop

Each design gets a unique code that accompanies it all the way to the order. Using this code, the ELEVEN graphic designer can retrieve the correct version of the design and prepare the materials for printing.

The completed cart is passed on to the existing ELEVEN e-shop, where the customer completes shipping and payment. At the same time, the configurator synchronizes prices and stock availability of products, so the information displayed during the design process matches the current offer.

A technical solution ready to grow

We built the application as a headless solution with a frontend in Next.js and a backend on the Medusa platform. Independent modules handle the generation and storage of designs, creation of product previews, preparation of print data, tracking of AI costs, and connection to the e-shop.

The architecture is also designed for expansion to other products. Socks are the first step, but the same principle could serve products like headbands or t-shirts in the future.

Result

A new digital sales channel was created, connecting the creativity of generative AI with actual Czech manufacturing. Customers get a fast and intuitive way to create an original product, while ELEVEN receives the design along with all the data needed for the order and subsequent production.
